My family comes from Sicily but I was born in Rome.

I graduated in “Political Science” at University “La Sapienza” of Rome.

To date I wrote five thrillers, two of which jointly with Mr Federico Zeri, the great Italian art critic. I also wrote a number of short stories published in the anthologies and the most prestigious mystery magazines of several countries: Italy, USA, Germany, Spain, Holland, France, the Czech Republic and Japan.

I was awarded the “Gran Premio Giallo Cattolica” (Cattolica thriller Grand Prix). With my latest novel Delitti alla Scala (Murders at La Scala) I reached the top five in the Scerbanenco Award.

From 1998 to 2001 I was Chairwoman for the Italian branch of AIEP-IACW, an international association for thriller authors around the world.

Furthermore I am a freelance journalist and write for radio and TV programs. I also wrote scripts and comics. The tale on the wolf that I wrote won a WWF award.  I also wrote a song.

Among my numerous activities I enlist translating and photographer.

I live in Rome with my husband and several cats in an area between Rome and the pine forest by the coast.

I love reading, painting, travelling, cooking for my friends, shooting, yoga and last but not least indulge in the prosperous “Roman idleness”.

Though I happily spend most of my time writing.
